Guru Supermarket

As part of Guru Supermarket at Xplore Berlin, I took on the role of a self-invented spiritual authority, joining over twenty performers in a surreal marketplace of belief systems, rituals, and power dynamics. In our makeshift ashrams and institutions, we seduced, initiated, enlightened, and manipulated—with charisma, doctrine, and absurd devotion. The performance invited participants to submit, resist, or rebel, offering a disorienting journey through faith, hierarchy, and the machinery of desire. The Guru Supermarket is an opportunity for a playful exploration of symbols, rituals, charisma, status, hierarchies, group dynamics and relationships of interdependancy.
